Serengeti Great Migration Update

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

The Serengeti Great Migration Pack has now clearly moved South, and it is time for our teams to dismantle our North Serengeti Camp and to move South, towards Piaya, near the Gols Mountains, and to prepare the new upcoming season with a new camp.

This new camp will be ready from the middle of December, to welcome our valued customers during this new phase of the Great Migration.

Every year, between January and May, the impressive mass of the Wildebeests and other herbivores gathers in the South-East of the Serengeti Plains, called by a very powerful animal instinct. It is during this time, and in a spirit of species conservation, that the females will give birth to their little ones, in group! This is to ensure the survival of the young ones, as they know the predators are there, ready to take any chance to snatch a young prey!
